Default '89 O-2 Sensor Wrench Difficulties

Hello, first off any help on this is extremely appreciated, as my name suggests I am not familiar with cars and the smallest of things cause me great trouble.

Anyway I am looking to change my '89's O-2 sensor, the manual suggests this part:

J-29533-A / BT 8127 which is the wrench to change it, very funny looking compared to other sensor wrenches I've seen looking around online.

The only problem there is that that particular part is extremely expensive, upwards of 200 dollars is what I found (old part?). I was feverishly hoping if anyone knew if there is any equivalent I could use for my poor car, or if that price I found was just a random ripoff or anything along those lines. I NEED something cheaper, 200 bucks is killer for just this wrench. Most others go for around 30 bucks...would a universal one work? Do they even have those?

Thanks again for any help guys, really not a car person here.

I would suggest that you visit your local auto supply store and look at the many variations available and they may even assist you in choosing the best one to use. It HAS to be cheaper than the price you quoted !

Hanky, did the size of the o2 sensors change over the years? Most I seen was $20. $200 sounds like a specialized dealership tool for 2007 and up cars.

No real change that I know of. For that price it must come with the sensor remover and installer person.
