Anyone changed sparkplugs on a 02 Rendezvous? I guess the real question here is the three plugs on the firewall side of the engine. How in the heck do you change those puppies?

 

with a great many of transverse engines, you have to remove things such as the top of the intake plenum to gain access to the rear engine side... i have done a tune up on a transverse engine, and it was AWFUL.Edited by: Patrick

 

also if you take the two front motor mount boltsout you can rock the car so it tips the motor forward block the front wheels soit doesnt roll back you can thenget at the plugs. Edited by: Dave

 

A day late and a dollar short

*Parking brake on
*Trans in neutral
*2 motor mounts in front undone
*rock motor towards you paying close attention to the rear exhaust manifold
*Use something to prop it behind alternator or use motor mount and the loop just in front of throttle body to secure it forward.

Some are lucky to just remove the distributors and bracket leaving the engine in original position.
