Hello everybody! I am hoping someone can help me out on this topic. I currently have a 1990 Buick Regal Custom with the 3.1L engine. The body has roughly 170,000 miles and is falling apart, to the point where I would feel bad selling it to someone I don't even know. But, the engine and tranny in it only have about 50,000 miles and both run like a charm. My question is what cars besides the Regal does this engine drop into. The reason I ask is that my search is coming up empty on finding a Regal around the same model year. Besides, I also have a family member that is desperate need of a new car but as I said before, the body is very un-safe and probably not even inspectable. Thanks for any help!!

 

cutlass supreme,Lumina,newer monte carlo,Pontiac Grand Prix,I actually have a 95 Regal for 400.00 with an exc eng but needs tranny repair,the only thing is I have been told that the 3.1 and 3.8 have different engines,1-864-506-0682,also Im in SC,body has no rust but betwwen the two you might be able to make one good car,Some one told me it just a box on my tranny that needs fixing,I might be a ble to trailer it for a small price,thanks,Marc
