Been trying to replace my drivers side fog light assembly nut in my 1998 Buick Regal GS. Can't seem to find the right deep socket to change out the the old one. I bought a set of 1/4 inch deep sockets SAE and none seem to fit. I don't have any metric deep sockets I just want to be sure before I go out and buy another set of sockets that don't fit.

I didn't thing GM used metric nuts.

GM did begin changing over to metrics at least 20 years ago, but this only affected newdesigns as they came out. Many parts, especially on engines, remained SAE.
