Hi folks...I''m new, and have a problem.Hopefully someone can help me out.The driver''s seat heater became weak, and within 2 days quit altogether. Has anyone successfully fixed the same problem? My mechanic suggested I take it to the dealer, but I really dislike being ripped off, at $80/hr labour. Oh yeah, the indicator light comes on properly....regards....Kelly

Hi Kelly,
I have an 01 Regal with the same problem. I have inquired about it at a shop or two, and tried a few things. Obviously you need to check your fuses, and the switch. The fuse is probably not the issue since you say the indicator light is on. You can pull the switch out very easily, just gently pry it out. The passenger side heater was working well, so I switched them, to test the drivers side switch. This did not fix the problem. You also should examine the wiring harnesses under the seat to make sure the wiring has not gotten snagged from moving/tilting the seat. This also did not fix mine, and I am at the point where the most likely culprit is the seat heater grid itself. This is not a cheap fix, as they have to pull the upholstery off,(and probably take the seat out of the car) and remove/replace the heater. With parts I have been quote roughly $700. Thankfully, it''s almost summer agian...hahaha
