When I think of Buick racing, images of the green and white Skoal Bandit of Harry Gant winning four in a row September of 1991. GM pulled Buick from NASCAR and the name now couldn''''t have an image further from racing in this country. In China, where the Buick name is popular, the automaker is introducing a version of the large rear-wheel drive Holden Statesman and Caprice called the Buick Royaum. To mark the introduction, Buick will sponsor the Holden V8 Supercar at the race held in Shanghai on June 10-12. So it''''s not a Buick racing, but at least China gets a RWD V-8 Buick that could.

The Nationwide series would be the place they should try for, in 2010 they are going to introduce their version of the COT.

Buick used to be an American made car. Its hard for me to picture it in China. But you can see some of their influence on the newer Buicks. Sadly it is no longer truly American.
