May 5th 2018 Ithaca spring dust off show. All driver numbers went in a 5 gallon pail. Numbers drawen they out the show about every 15 minutes. A half hour before the end all Numbers went back in the pail and 25 were drawn to get prizes from a 50 inch flat screen to a alum 3 ton floor jack.
There were also 6 veteran car numbers called. I was oner of the 6 got $50.00 cash, also got $50.00 cash when our number was drawn on the quarter hour. Like this show, Like this little town, We will be back later. :D Al |
After all's said Alley your car looks really good. Good color, wheels look OEM and you show no rust, dents or anything. Good idea to display this, can't be that many around anymore. Think iPad is hosed, could only get a few of your photos, you do take good pictures. |
Nope there was only a tiny bit of surface rust on it. Paint was horriable cracked and pitted, some pine pitch stain.
It was well taken car of other wise. Every thing is stock OEM except the paint. :D Al |
Yes, more info when you can. My last years of work I had a '90 Ford Escort hatchback. Bought I think was in '07 with 32K on OD. Great for back and forth to work but former owner didn't know how to take care of (an old woman who just didn't drive much, kept in garage with blanket over it). Lasted me fine, was going to have the dents fixed I couldn't pull out and paint job but traded. That wasn't anything I wanted, interior really good though except for all the wads of chewing gum under front seat, she was weird. |

Some old fire houses over to Lewiston but nothing like that, imagine the tower was used to hoist up and dry out fire hoses. Roger that on trouble, a bit better in ME this AM. |

Fire tower served as the towns clock tower and also a fire look out tower before the area got deforsted.

Look at all the fine old cars some one sweated bled and spent some money on. Just think those Bits of History would be gone if some one had not cared for them. So when the wet blanket that resides here tells you to scrap that old car and not bother with it just ignore. I believe the wet blanket is the reason the site is not hopping. I know for me I came here and got the cold wet blanket treatment so left and found a better site to get help with problems. Next show after a couple week end rain outs and Clinton Township where I forgot to put the card in the camera and we won a Peoples choice 3 foot tall trophy. Climax Michigan Memorial day. :D Al |

Doesn't get any better than that Alley. Wife had an '07 PT Cruiser flamed out and yellow. Car show taking place in parking lot across street from restaurant we were going to. Pulled in and they were giving me spot to display car lol. Told them thanks but we're just here for dinner. Where do they all come from I don't know. |
They come from all over. Every Monday evening they have a show in my town. 200 show up. Next town over has one every Friday evening 295 cars show up.

Makes me recall, had a friend at work that restored a '54 Ford PU and older jeep. Did a gorgeous job on them. The truck was an aqua color and he didn't like the paint job done and had it painted again (I saw nothing wrong with first one, only Ralph did), happy the second time. i was good at Calligraphy and he had me do his easel display (did Old English or Gothic). Used broad tip nibbed magic markers. Like the sale signs at grocery stores if one is good at that. Said he liked, guess he used but never saw truck at the few shows around at that time. |

Back to the Bricks, Flint Mi huge show on Saginaw street. There are tune up partys 2 weeks before the main event. A differnt town starting on Monday afternoon and ending Saturday afternoon at three different towns.
We did Davison Mi tune up party but it started raining shorty after it started so I didn't even get the camera out.
