Believe it or not, many small trim and accessory parts are actually still available from Buick, as well as aftermarket outfitters like JCWhitney and the like. These cars had a pretty long production run and went largely unchanged throughout that time. Other options you may want to explore are the many GM "sister cars" like the Malibu, Cutlass, and Grand Prix of the same era. The cosmetic parts may not be identical, but can most likely be modified to suit your purpose. From the sounds of your project, you have some experience in adjusting parts that weren''t meant to be there in such a way that they work properly. I myself am a marine mechanic on the Hudson River in New York and believe me, when it comes to re-assigning parts to suit new applications, there is ALWAYS a way. Sounds like a fun car- I''m sure you''ll make out OK. *Check out a company called P.O.Y. Auto Body Supply or carstuff.com. They stock a surprising amount of stuff and at very good prices.
