Hey All-

I just purchased two Buicks as winter beaters: an '89 Skylark 2.5 with
137000mi ($100) and a '92 Century 3.3 with 187000 ($150). I have
been driving the Skylark for several weeks...a while back I removed the
exhaust on a big rock (sounds nice!) and now the brakes are starting to
grind. I have decided as of today to park the Skylark and use it
for snowbank jumping once there is enough snow, and start driving the
Century, which seems to be in much better shape. I am a long-time
member of maxima.org and have an extensive background in mechanical
issues. I am also a mechanical engineering student in my final
year.

Now, a small issue with the century (which I will post in the technical
section, as well) The center stop and left brake light do not
work. The taillights all work, though. I bought the car
from a friend and he says the brake lights worked when he had it.
The car was hit from behind about a year ago, but he replaced the
taillight assembly and bumper cover. Before I start driving it I
would like to sort out this issue. Any information would be
greatly appreciated, as I am more mechanically enclined. Thanks
for reading!
