I was a member some years ago but lost my sign-in info. New computer and all.

Anyway, I'm back with a new project and a question: Im building a rat rod truck and I came across a 455 Buick motor with a transmission for a good price. My question is, what kind of tranny do I have? The seller said it was a 700R4 but I'm not familiar with all the variants so I'm not sure. I bought a Lokar shifter for it but the mounting brackets dont line up at all. I wonder if anyone knows what it is?
