Question 2001 Park Avenue

I Have a 2001 Buick Park Avenue that shutter swhile idoling it will come for a few seconds then, its gone for 20-30 seconds. The steering wheel seems to make it shutter when I turn the wheel slightly. Ive heard of a sensor to equalize power while you steer. Wonder if they need to be cleaned or replaced ? Thnks,,, John

Yes indeed, always nice seeing the forum population increase. But member isn't new, an 8 post veteran on here. Why wouldn't he put his thread in as many as three or four other appropriate forums, but new member?

Yes there is a sensor in the power steering circuit that steps up the idle will setting still and turning the sterring wheel.

Not sure if it can be made to work with a cleaning but a new one should do the trick.
