Not sure about air pump on a '06? Thought they went out decades back, used for emission control in the early days to put extra air into exhaust for catalytic combustion as I recall. You don't mean A/C compressor?

No, those seem to have a secondary small pump for emissions, possibly CARB (California emissions). So answer my own answer, good way to learn lmao...... Also ran across pump for air ride suspension. Not enough info for even guess answer here!

Try a computer default, disconnect battery for maybe 1/2hr., clear code again and check all hoses, gas cap maybe or something perhaps installed upside down or backwards ie- hoses? Again, not a mechanic but what I'd do. Try putting a distributor back in 180deg. off and car doesn't start but swore you put it in right (many were tab and slot driven). Still haven't forgot that one......
