Default 07 Lucerne CSX power steering

Replaced the motor with a 4.6 from a 2011 Caddy. Swap went fine but now we have no power steering. Took the pump off the caddy motor and put my pump from the 07 Buick motor back on. That one worked fine before. Still no power steering. Fluid is creamy colored which should indicate air in the system. Cycled the rack and pinion back and forth 3/4 turn to 3/4 turn approximately 50 times. Still not power steering. I'm at a loss. Any ideas or thoughts. Thanks in advance.

I must admit you confused me quite well.
If,,,, as you state the old pump worked fine before and now it won't work , you know what I am about to ask , right?
Why did you change it?

Original 4.6 '07 motor blew up. Replaced with a '011 caddy 4.6. Left PS pump on because it was 4 years newer. After we got new motor running, we had PS for about 15 min then it quit working. Replaced PS pump with the '07 pump which we knew worked fine before. Again it worked fine for about 15 min then quit. ???? Would doing a PS fluid flush fix it?
