Trunk latch not working on 92 lesabre

I just got a 92 lesabre from a guy. After opening the trunk, i couldn''t get it to shut. The electronics were disconnected by a previous owner; not sure if this matters or not. There is no trunk opener in the glovebox or under the dash. I am just trying to figure out a way to get the damn thing to shut.
