I have a '92 LeSabre and I hope someone in the forum knows how to reprogram the vehicle to accept the sensor's signal since I happened to accidentally deprogram it, in my ignorance, by disconnecting the battery cables. If anyone knows, I would sureappreciate it if they could share that info with me.

Also, cruise control issues: I have problems with the cruise control cutting out- sometimes only occassionally, sometimes frequently. Often the resume/accellerate function doesn't work while control is established, sometimes it does. I have even noticed occassions that when trying to use the res/acc funtion to increase the speed it seemed to cause the control to dis-establish (fail). Also I have noticed that there are some roads that I frequently travel, where the cruise control cuts out at about the exact same spot every time! Weird! I had owned an '89 Bonneville that had a very similar type of misfunctioning of the cruise control, so perhaps these types of problems are common and that there is a lot of experiences with diagnosis and remedy.

Lastly, with my superficial knowledge of the French language I wonder why the LeSabre is not spelled LaSabre. Words that end with "e" in French are considered feminine and are supposed to be preceeded by "La" and not "Le." Did Buick decide to dumb-it-down for a presumably ignorant American public?

To Program a Buick Lesabre 92-94.
Under the steering wheel above the Brake pedal is a 16 pin OBDII plug.. Remove your car keys. Jumper ( paper clip) short pins 4 (ground and 8 (erase program) (8= rear of car right corner) It's all upside down there so be careful.. It looks like top right Looking at it.. there are pins visible in 4 and 5 and 8 showing silver contact points. HOLD the connection.. Paper clip will stay in easy. The doors will lock and unlock twice then press your remote unlock key button. If you have two remotes .. have it available and press unlock on the second remote. The Doors should unlock again.. Be sure you press the "UNlock button.. Mine was in the center of the remote.

As far as the Cruise control.. Maybe your vaccum brake release line to yur brake pedal leaks under vibration..

Mine would briefly engage and release.. turned out to be the PCM..

LeSabre.. is Spanish.. Or is it french. (kidding)

Thanks for the tip. I still haven't corrected it, so I'll try soon. I'm on vacation now, so it will be a while.

I see that your screen name is the same as the nickname of a local outdoor sports writer here in NH.

I enjoy fishing so it's easy to guess that you do too.

Thank you for the imparting of wisdom.
