Hello everyone,

I have a major dilemma. I cannot get the hood open on my 1992 Buick LeSaber Custom. I need to get this hood open BECAUSE, I need to fill my power steering pump which the fluid leaks through the rack and pinion, and if the hood cannot be opened, the car will soon be undriveable.

Any assistance to my predicament would be welcomed and greatly appreciated.......

I'm desperate

Note: The cable is intact. I believe the hood-latch mechanism has seized....Edited by: jasodem

I had a '92 Park Ave that used to do this. What worked for me was to pound and push down onthe hood above the latch with the heel of your palm, pull the inside hood release, and repeat until it pops. If you can get somebody to help at one end or the other, andco-ordinate the effort, you'll save time and have a better chance of success.

On my 95 lesabre i sometimes have to have someone pull up on the hood as i pull the release. Maybe that will work for ya.

Thanks for the replies.

I have tried all of the above without success.

I am taking the LeSabre to an auto body shop tomorrow... Hopefully, it is not too much
