Default 1995 Buick lesabre smell of gas

With my 95 lesabre I noticed the smell of gasoline underneath the car. Some times the car doesn't like to idle after starting it unless a bit of throttle is given. I don't smell the gasoline in the cabin of the car. Just when I'm looking underneath. Is there a reason why this might be happening?

I would suspect a fuel leak, either a fuel line or at tank. I have had leaks in past were the steel lines meet the fuel pump at top of tank. Take a close look for a wet area were gas may be leaking.

Also could be part of the emission circuits with the hoses and canister to recirculate and burn off gas fumes. Being a closed system you'd smell fumes if one of the lines were defective even if no raw gas was present.
