I got this as my new company car May 22. Getting about 26 mpg overall so far. Probably 60% hwy.

Like the ride, the quitness, the cloth of the seats, the sun roof.

1 month update - I have now had the Lacrosse for 1 month today. 3633 miles so far. I have put in 137.45 gallons which is 26.43 mpg. The worst tank of gas so far was 25.11 mpg, and the best tank was 27.28 mpg.

Someone bumped me in the parking lot yesterday. I slight crease in the front bumper. I think they must have hit me with a bigger tire as it had black rubber marks which i got off with goo be gone. I think i can get the crease out with a little push from the inside, if i can get to it.

I like the sun roof, it has 8 way power seats but not even manual lumbar, which i really wish it had.

Overall i would recommend this car. I like the looks of the 2008 better.

<DIV id=post_message_20283 uevUh="20" qy_fp="1">2 month update.

Total miles 6319
Total gallons used = 243.16
Overall MPG = 25.99
Best tank MPG = 27.279
Worst tank MPG = 23.495

changed oil @ 4132

No problems

We were on vacation last week, so the car was not driven that week as this is a company car, and we took the wives Freestar. So actually the miles driven per week is about 702.</DIV>

Could be, but I do think they know. The programming is not strictly mileage, but takes many conditions of use into account.

Some people consider it "cheap insurance", but I feel it is a waste of resources to change your oil too soon. Personally, I feel more than safe running it down to ~10%.

I agree that it could go longer, but the boss wants it changed every 4000 miles, in hopes of getting 200,000 miles out of it.

Well then, if he pays the piper, he calls the tune.

But, chances are it will make 200,000 either way, and if it doesn't, it will be due to something else.

3 month update
Total miles = 9516
Total gallons used = 368.50
overall mpg = 25.82
best tank mpg = 27.279
worst tank mpg = 23.495

changed oil 4132, then 8275

no problems. The transmission shifts smooth, the engine is quiet. Of course I have never been in a Lexus so can't compare. But for the cars / SUV / Mini vans I have driven this is the quietest, and smoothest. As stated before the driver seat needs lumbar control.
