my 97 lesabre had flooding problems when starting at operating temp. mechanic replaced map sensor and faulty vac lines. engine now idles at 1500 rpm when cold and shifts hard into drive when cold. idle drops to 600 rpm as the engine temp rises and trans will then shift from neutral to drive normally.
