I have a 98 Buick Lesabre which intermitantly dies on me after i travel just a few hundred feet after first starting the car. I have disabled the security so that it doesn't set the alarm automatically, but i do lock and unlock the car each time before starting and exiting the car. I am concerned that i am going to get rear ended one of these days because it just happens. Yet it is not consistant. I have also had the car not start at all unless i keep hitting the unlock button on the security key ring. I have had the car in the dealership as recently as last week, and they can't find anything wrong. Any ideas??????????

I think that, once the car has started, the factory security system will not stop it. I know this was a design criterion originally; to prevent the exactfailure mode you are having. So I would be inclined to reconnect whatever you have disconnected, and look elsewhere. I think the lock/unlock procedure is jarring something, or a coincidence, or maybe you have two problems. Sorry I can't be more specific.
