Default 2009 Allure/Lacrosse Bluetooth

Hello, I can’t figure out why I can’t get the bluetooth to work in my 2009 Allure. Is it because OnStar was discontinued for the older models? When I hold the button to connect bluetooth it just mutes my stereo. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Have you looked at your owners manual? The Bluetooth system might possibly go thru the OnStar system.

You need to check if you have Onstar Module with bluetooth . The module is located under center console at the bottom . Take a picture with the cellphone and see if you have the antena from the first picture. If you dont have it your Onstar module doesnt have bluetooth. If you find a module on the internet or at the junk yard from a 2009 Allure or Lacrosse will work if you swap it.The part number is the same like in second picture.Onstar is not longer work for GM vehicle older than 2014 but you can use the bluetooth function. I did this on my Allure and is orking perfectly for Phone calls. The music from the phone is not working through bluetooth.
