Default Transmission Shift Linkage

I had to replace a rusted RF brake line and the RF tie rod end. The car sat so long after I put it back together, I forgot to attach the LF tie rod end. I have now since attached the LF tie rod end.

Now the shift linkage seems to be out of adjustment. I cannot start it unless I put it in neutral. The PRNDL indicator doesn't indicate or light up in Park and the wheels turn for what I think is in the Park gear.

Did I screw something up the way the transmission shifts? I don't see any loose electrical connections. Is this something that can be adjust at the transmission shift linkage?
