1971 800 CFM Quadrajet

QuadraJet for a 1971 Buick 455 automatic. Thought I’d give ou first chance before I go to the Buick group. 7041540 is the carb number and the build date is 1311 (may11, 1971). It’s an 800 CFM unit and it’s had the following done to it:Disassembled and chemically cleaned.Washed thoroughly in hot soapy water and blown completely dry.All passages are clear.New bronze bushings were installed on the primary throttle shaft and secondary throttle plates were set to open full 90 degrees.New accelerator (Ethanol resistant)pump, new fuel filter, new primary and secondary choke pull offs, all new gaskets, new needle and seat and new check ball.The carb has #44B primary metering rods with #73 jets.On the secondary side there is a code G hanger with code AS secondary rods.The float level adjustment was set at13/32””. Secondary air baffles were given an initial setting of ¾ of a turn and the idle mixture screws were set at 1 ½ turns.
This Carburetor was totally disassembled, chemically cleaned, washed in hot soapy water and completely blown out with high pressure air.It was then bead blasted to remove remaining corrosion, washed in hot soapy waterand completely blown out with high pressure air.The Carb body, air horn, throttle body and other misc. parts were masked and painted in VHT high temp. engine paint to prevent corrosion. Throttle plates, Choke Plate and Secondary Air Valves cleaned, reinstalled with new screws, Blue Loctite and screws staked. Located in SC and I take PayPal.
