We purchased a 2007 Buick Terraza. We have had problems with it for years and the problems seem to be getting worse.
To start, the power sliding doors were repaired under warranty twice and we paid to repair them both once at $1500 total for all new sensors....apparently, the sensors do not last and have to be replaced regularly. We now use the doors manually and have given up on the power sliding doors.
Also and more serious has been the ongoing 'fuel system' problem. Since we bought it, the van has always required the fuel level to be over 1/4 or, if parked on an decline, it would not crank at all unless moved to level ground or having more fueled put in. We learned quickly to keep the fuel around half a tank and if it went below to always park pointed uphill. The dealership....GM certified mechanics...could not fix it...and yeah, they tried more times than I can remember. Fuel pump, filter, etc was all changed out...still has the problem, now, years later, the van sometimes won't crank with an almost full tank of gas and even if pointed uphill (which, as crazy as it sounds, worked when it was newer). Two months ago the van would not crank in the driveway....we had it towed to the local GM dealership. The service manager tried everything to figure out why....he checked the fuel pump pressure ( was good ), changed fuel filter and could not figure it out....it was not throwing a code from the computer...according to the computer there was nothing wrong. It cranked for the dealership and ran fine. Now today, it is doing the same thing. It is back a the dealership and they will try again to see what is wrong in the morning.
I am writing this in the hopes that someone out there has had the same problem with their 2007 Buick Terraza and has figured out what is wrong so we can fix it. We are at 115,000 miles now. When it's running....it runs great.
