road vibration

hey all, i'm brand new to the forum! i bought a '96 estate wagon this summer and have been ironing out a lot of issues, but the one that remains is an annoying vibration @ 65-70 mph. i have four new tires and have had them balanced with the hunter road force. new shocks, ball joints, steering center link, steering stabilizer and alignment. i'm at a loss as to what to do next. help! charles b.

Where does the vibration appear to be coming from? What is your throttle position...cruise...accelerating...decelerating? If you put it in drive instead of overdrive, does it still vibrate? Does the gear change affect the vibration level/frequency?

Check the universal joints on the drive shaft.

I have not reaally been gone, just not much to comment on about 91-96 B bodies.

I could be wrong on this, but it seems that most Buick owners don't either need or do their own work. What do you think?

Most that I know have general maintenance that needs to be done, and most do their own work. Only major jobs are taken to a mechanic. A lot of garages will not work on older cars any more, so they are relegated to owner maintenance.
