Hey everyone, I am new to the forum and was hoping to get a few pointers for my regal. I have a 1998 Buick Regal GS. It has just over 100k miles now and is running fine. I had to replace the fuel pump a few months ago because it was dying. What I did was have them put on a whole new exhaust too. Originally they left the same muffler on and I got a universal one that i had them put on a few days later. Anyway I am not the biggest car enthusiast but I want a few more hp and a nicer look. (is that too much to ask![img]smileys/smiley2.gif[/img]) I would like to put in a cold air intake but don''t know what to get. Any tips would be great!

Cold air intakes(C.A.I.), are performance items, this will help the motor
"breathe in" better but in order to let it "breathe out" better you will need a
performance exhaust. You will have a small gain in efficiency with a C.A.I.
but in order to have recieve the full benefits of it you would need to
compliment it with a performance exhaust, like headers or removal of the
CAT into a straight pipe or a more free flow muffler and other alternative
methods. With exhausts the less components to restrict air flow will result in
better performance. This holds true for most vehicles, although you don''t
necessarily want to have larger pipes because it is good to have back
pressure and not a full free flow. I believe the most common C.A.I.''s are K&N
but i would search on the internet to excersize your options.
