when first start the car it reads empty for at least 5 min then it goes to full and stays ik that the tank is full but i want to know if its because the car reads gas once in a wile i am use to my gage always reading constently

The gauge reads constantly. You might have a bad sending unit, float, or a bad connection somewhere.

ok but for some reason it works when car is off and only when key is in on but when car running doesnt work

Might be a good idea to check the ground circuit for the gauge assy.

Can't find where to start new thread, so will post here. 98 Lesabre pcv valve from O Reilly pulls too much vacuum thru crankcase, and sucks oil thru intake. oil goes down too fast, and if remove oil filler cap, eng slows like big vacuum leak. I'm told only AC Delco valve works right in these 3800's. will try one for $8, only from dealer. all after-market ones must let too much air thru. Is that right? huey286
