83 buick regal lowrider
 

ok, one of my clients has a low rider its an 83. i pulled the carb for a rebuild and it has the preheater base. cant find the part any where. so i am just going to bypass the pre heater for now unless some one else can give me a better idea. also i was wondering if anyone has ever done a efi setup on a car like this one? put one on there so i dont have to keep rebuilding her carbs.

scour the junk yards for the SFI unit and intake from a 1984-87. be sure to get the engine computer and wiring harness as well, you will need them. you will also have to replicate the sensors. I have a edelbrock 5486 intake and a edelbrock 1404 500CFM carb on my 1979 3.8. The performance difference has baffled me more than once.
