i''ve just inherited a 82 Regal limited and the transmission may be shot (it only works in reverse), is there a motor and transmissionduo i can put in here that''ll give nicepower, but''s affordable? a friend of mine put a ChevyTahoe''s motor and tranny in his84 Cutlass, just wondering if something like that is feasible.i''m looking for a duo that might cost under $1000 in GA. something decent on fuel usage and gives nice power. all suggestions would be great.

p.s. anyone know of a website or store to buy trim pieces new or used?

as far as motor trans swap, I''''ve heard of alot of guys dropping in 350 chevys, not sure on which trans. sorry someone else will have to help there, but I will try to find out. as far as trim goes, 1aauto.com has a good selection, and you might even try places JC Whitney, or maybe even year one(I''''ve never looked there)I use 1aauto.com for my Regal, it''''s an 85 and they had some good prices and great service

thanks. i''ve been to jc whitney and summitracing thus far. a 350 may work for the money, not the power though, but hey, who needs a hot rod when gas is high?

I think with a Chevy 350 you may need to do some motor mount fab work, but perhaps you could find a Regal with a 350 already in it and compare?
