2001 regal odometer & fan issues

So my gas gauge no longer works so I was going off of miles for fill ups. However, the odometer is out and now I have to rely on my gps for total miles.

The biggest issue at the moment is my fan not working. I go to turn on the heat and get nothing. Then all of a sudden it will kick in, but when I go to adjust the level, it goes back off. Does anyone know what this could be? Fuse maybe?

Plus, where is the fuse panel in the car? I need to take a peek in there.

Any help would be much appreciated.

the fuse panel is tucked in beside the passenger front door. you have to open the door and its on the side of the dash there, you have to pop off the cover with the screw driver to help.

Judging from what you describe, It sounds as if you have either a loose connection that supplies those two circuits or more likely a loose ground connection. And that could be anywhere from where the ground comes from the negative terminal at the battery to the sheet metal of the vehicle, If you can check every ground connection ( that means loosen and retighten) you can see, you might get lucky. If not it is very possible that a ground connection under the dash is loose. The fact that the blower motor tries to work kinda indicates insufficient voltage or ground paths. Let us know how you make out, OK ?
