I am a newbie here but I am on the ChevyTruckWorld Forum. But I wouldn't ask them a Buick Question. I am wondering if any of you have any insight or experience on the ABS on these Regals. I put new pads on the brakes a little over a year ago and now that the pads have worn down a little the master cylinder needed some brake fluid. The Brake light came on for it being low. After I serviced it with some DOT 3 brake fluid the Anti -lock brake light came on. I checked the brakes and the ABS is not functioning. I checked the fuse it is good. I wasn't sure if the fluid beong low has caused a problem with the ABS. It wasn't low enough to get air in the lines at all just enough to set off the light. I am very good shade tree mechanic but not fluent in ABS. I have never head to mess with them. I was wondering if there are any common problems in these cars that I should check for before going to the dealer to pay the $100 deductible on the exteneded warranty.

Thanks for any input.

</>Well I received no input here. Anyhow I took it to the dealer and was repaired under the extended warranty for a $50 deductible. It was the ABS control module which was over $800 and with labor the total bill was $1248. I am glad my part was only $50. That $1200 extended warranty has paid for itself. Edited by: Vortec-6000
