Value of a 1964 Riv.
 

Hi Everyone,
I was wondering what the value of a 1964 Buick Riv would be. It has been sitting since 1988. Would need to get running & stopping, ect. It has a spot on the drivers side rear wheelwell that is starting to show bubbling (rust). Above the windshield is surface rust & paint is chipped away. (About an inch or two back but almost the whole length of the windshield.) It is all original, 401 Nailhead (Wildcat) motor. Color is black, tan interior.

Price not restored would be for parts and/or everything needs attention. Maybe $6K, sitting such a long time too, frame possibly rusted out.

Frame is fine, no rust. The only place I saw was where I mentioned before at the drivers side rear wheel well. Been kept inside storage whole time.
What would you say it would be worth if I get it running & driveway driving? (Brakes & Running)

Hmm, mileage a factor as ball joints, shocks susceptible to failure, exhaust leaks. Engine may or may not have high oil consumption. To get running is good, just may not be able to pass inspection.

Stored inside is a plus, is car a barn find? Best is to find similiar cars and asking prices. Saw one in last post for $12,500 l think, looked pretty good. If yours is close ranking I'd start there for pricing.

Don't put any money into it as seldom recoup unless a buyer at hand or sure it'll make a major difference. Desirability is the biggest incentive, how many people want a '64 Riveria?

In PA you don't need inspection if you put a "Antique" tag on it.

Yeah desirability is a big difference. I don't know many people who want a '64 Riviera.......me included. HaHa.
I will take you're tip on checking prices with comparable cars.....if I can find any.
