1983 Riviera XX
 

Up for grabs is this 1983 Buick Riviera XX. The XX designates a rare trim, wheel, suspension, and brake package offered to commemorate Riviera's 20th anniversary. Only 502 of this package were offered and two were official pace cars of the 1983 Indianapolis 500. The package includes real wood interior trim around the dash and door panels, pig leather seats with suede inserts, 140 mph speedometer, 24k gold plated emblems inside and out, spoke wheels, self-sealing Uniroyal tires (I still have the originals), Dense wool carpeting, special trunk trim, anniversary grille, larger sway bars, rear disc brakes, annodized exterior trim, and hydro-boost braking system. This car has 118k on it and is in good shape. I have owned it for 8 or so years and it has been sitting for 7 years in my moms garage. I put a battery in it and it fired right up. The AC still comes on but doesn't cool as well as it used to. The radio doesn't work anymore for some reason but the cassette player still does. The tires were replaced when I bought it and probably only have 2,000 miles on them. Brakes feel good. I noticed some leakage around the valve cover, I assume from sitting for so long. These cars are getting harder to find and near impossible to find with this package. The only ones I have run across with this package either are parts cars missing vital pieces like wood or wheels or are super low mileage trailer queens for like $15k. I've only run across four of them total and that was looking pretty hard. Has up to date tag and title. I have $5500 in it and I've had it long enough so I'm only asking $4750obo or might trade for a running 40's or 50's car. I'm located just outside Oklahoma City. Thanx for looking. 405-818-0514 Brent
