Somehow not overly surprising. GM is way advanced and maintains the bar level in these areas. Only thing is I have no use for the advanced technology. Retired in 2011 and I even threw away my cell phone. Just have no need to keep up with the Jonses or care. But still great ideas for those that think they need, with a substantial fee attachment of coarse.

Just cancelled my Sirius and don't miss at all. Continuous pester to renew at way reduced price, just don't use the car enough to maintain subscription. Didn't mention, we save $1K a month from retirements and give to the kids at Xmas each year, when they can use it. Not when their 60-70 years old. Point being people have mostly frivolous monthly bills they don't know they wouldn't even miss, i.e. cable TV or satellite (or both lmao). But too seem to get or buy anything I want, oh well......

Unfortunately what you stated in your post is how money is made these days. There are so many things where marketing is designed to make $$$ and we play the game. We also pay to play !! There have been many advances that have made life easier and better, but there are many "advances" to get us to play the game and pay without even realizing we don't need to play some of these games lol. Sit back and just watch the fun, it's really amazing.

Well put Hanky. You're able to put in words what everybody's thinking but don't know they are (subconscious) lol too. Indeed, quite easy to follow the rest of the Buffalo over the cliff and not even realizing it all.

Do a few online (Catch 22) puzzles and they want you to purchase this or that (ads/commercials). Well too, we do have a Magic Jack and wife has her cell (I just don't anymore) and once again the phone's ringing off the hook (I won't answer) with insurance gimmicks. Of coarse it's that time of year again. We have Tri-Care up here (military) and Medicaid now, covers everything. I won't go to the VA, they don't need to see me there. I believe that's reserved for those in need, many go there and have no business doing so IMO (looking for handouts, payments). Nothing much wrong with me except getting old (not bad at all).
