Lowering Options for a 97-99 LeSabre
Hi all, as the title suggests I am attempting to lower (not slam) my 1997 Buick LeSabre. I am currently in the process of acquiring a set of OEM 17" Pontiac Wheels to switch out for the 15" steelies (at least in the warmer months).
Couple of things I'm trying to find/get help on - - What "body" is my 1997 LeSabre? Wikipedia says H-Body but if someone could confirm that would be great.
- Depending on the "body" is anyone aware of anyone making suspension other than OEM Replacement Parts for this car? I'm aware that ZZP Performance sells suspension for "W Body" cars however provided Wikipedia is correct I have a H Body...
- If nothing is out there specific for the car does anyone have the measurements for the mounting points of the LeSabre that maybe by some luck another car has as well.
- I'm not against air suspension but I wouldn't mind a *little* more stiffness through the corners just to make it a bit more enjoyable - eventually I'd love to rip out the motor swap it for a built 3.8 with a turbo and a transmission not made of glass but that's a lot of time & $$$ I don't have at the moment!
Thanks for the help in advance, this was my grandfathers car and it carried me through high school and into university, it's now taken a bit of a backseat as I drive a Tahoe SSV now during the cold months but since its getting warmer I want to get this thing put together!
