illuminated AC lights randomly went out
 

the illumination on 4 of my ac/heater lights randomly went out. the buttons still work they just no longer light up. just wondering if theres anything i can do or if im out of luck

What kind of car is it? They usually do go out after a while. All of the lights on my hvac panel are out on my Century, as well as a few of my radio lights. It makes finding the right knobs and buttons in the dark fun. haha. Basically, there is no way of fixing it (on mine, that i've found). I'm afraid if I try to take it apart, I'll break something, and with winter coming, thats not something I want to risk losing.

I have a 2001 LeSabre Custom, so pretty close to your century. I feel the same way, not wanting to mess with something I'm not even sure can be fixed

You can check the junk yards..they might have some there, but more than likely, they'll have the same problems. You could pick up a new/refurbed one on ebay, but that's more than you'd want to pay, considering there's nothing actually wrong with the old one.
