< src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" =text/> </> Hi all! I'm new to the forum as I just purchased a 68 Electra convertible. Let me tell you a little about the car, then ask if there is anything I need to look out for moving forward. The car is in fairly good shape. I know that it will probably need front floor pans, but other than that, it is in good shape from a rust standpoint. The factory 430 has just been rebuilt being bored 10 over, and balanced with a new Holley 750. The trans has been rebuilt as well and both are out of the car so I will be getting this guy with a rollback. The interior is out of the car due to his desire to restore it. It is a tan interior, but he has also purchased another interior (Black) out of a 69 due to the fact that it had headrests and the 68 doesn't. Other than that, I don't know much else about the car. I do know that the front brakes are drum and will need to be converted. I saw the Scarebird site and found the conversion plates, but am not sure what rotors and calipers I need to get yet. If anyone knows what to get, please let me know. What else should I be worried about or need to be wary of on my way to restoring this great classic? Thanks for your input in advance. < =text/> _uacct = "UA-939292-42"; urchinTracker(); </> |
