LaCrosse Transfer Case fluid
#2
Yup, Transfer Case Fluid: Auto Trak II | ACDelco. These fluids seem to upgrade every few years. I wouldn't necessarily go with this, maybe but make sure all sludge and existing oil is thoroughly drained. Synthetic products seem to prove superior. Snug up on assoc. nuts and bolts especially for gaskets.
Don't take recommendations at face value, an example: My Boss 302 uses a 5-50wt oil and all other Mustangs use a 5-20 or 30wt. Dealers will put wrong oil in, not paying attention to labeling on oil cap. Why? Because they don't know any different! Reason is a heavier oil is required to maintain viscosity and cooling due to sustained high RPM levels.
Point being is to research what's available, also will probably never change fluid again. Oh too, the Ford OEM oil 5-50wt for those is manufactured in Korea lmao.
