02 century overheating
the fans do not come on, but if you turn ac/ or defrost on the fans run. the temp gauge works as well.
less than a yr ago i replaced thermostat when i replaced head gaskets. car only has 61k miles. i bought/fixed/and gave to my sister who is disabled. i can afford to have shop repair/trouble shoot. and ideas ? figure a broke wire some where since i already replaced one to track sensor thanks so much for any help. |
A few thoughts,
a quick check with a scan tool would confirm if the coolant temp sensor is working correctly, It is possible there is a wire involving the engine temp sensor that may be contacting something and giving a false reading Make sure you connected all the ground wires especially those at the back of the engine. Is the service engine soon light coming on? Possible wrong info getting to PCM and not turning the fans on. Last but not least, if it started overheating right after the engine work was done, recheck all your work, something may have been overlooked. |
