2011 Buick Lucerne starter removal 3.9 liter
 

I have removed the mounting bolts and I can move the loose starter around but can't seem to find the space required to remove the starter from the engine. The bank of the starter hits the oil filter hub while the front of the starter is still inside the transmission bell. Does anyone know what else I need to do to free the starter from the car? Thank you for any help. I'm at a loss.
