Universal Heated Seat Kit in the LeSaber
 

I recently acquired a 2004 LeSaber with very low miles. It needs a few things, but overall, I got a killer deal.

Foremost, neither of the heated seats in the front work. They have the symptom of the heated seat switch "locking up", or getting stuck on high until its pressed several times, which points to the heating grid being bad.

Has anyone tried using this Dorman Universal Heated Seat kit with the stock switch/wiring? I really just need to know if the power requirements are the same.

Any advice?

Thanks![/QUO I have the same issue. Before you replace anything, they sometimes break at the wires themselves. Very thin wires so look at all the wires especially the wires leading to the elements. Do a current test if you can, as it could be the switch itself but more then likely its a wire that's cut or pulled from element itself. Please let me know.

There has to be a timer that controls the length of time the heating element is powered. The grid will stay warm until power is cut or removed. Some will stay on until power is physically turned off by the operator.
