Hi, I have a 1994 LeSabre, 3.8 V6 (not sure if there is any other engine on this car). Recently it happened twice that the engine shut off without any indication previously while I was driving on the high way. I could restart the engine no problem. What kind problem could it be?

Thanks in advance.

Could be many things; we'd have to know more details to make a reasonable guess. For example, when the engine stopped, what else shut down?

Well, right now, I have not scanned the computer yet, but when it happens, the engine shuts down, the electrical power is present. checked for loose wire around the engine and found none.

I had what sounds like could be a similar problem with an '02. When driving the engine would intermittantly kill with no warning. It wouldn't really sputter or anything, just die. It didn't throw any codes. It ended up being my fuel pressure regulator. You can start the car with the regulator vacuum hose off. If gas begins to spit out of the regulator, then the regulator needs to be replaced.

I have a similar problem, do you know where the regulator is located ?
