Default transmission mount

How do you change transmission mounts on 2000 Buick LeSabre?

Ebay sells a package of 4 mounts, 2 engine mounts & 2 transmission mounts.

The engine mounts in front of the engine & behind the passenger side wheel were easy to replace, but how do change the 2 transmission mounts?

Usually you remove the driver's side wheel and the inner fender and the mounts are now visable..

Thanks for the reply. After I replaced the front engine mount I removed the left front tire & replaced transmission mount. If I were going to replace the front mount & the left & right side mounts again I would replace the side mounts first. I think it would easier to replace the side mounts with a broken front mount. If just the front mount was broken I would only replace the front mount.

Default Engine/Transmission mounts

Attached pictures show front & left side mounts. I got the left side mount started & then used a piece of wood & hammer to push it in all the way. I drill the mount with a 1/2" drill bit so the mount would go in easier. I think the side mount would have gone in easier if I had replaced the front mount last.

I don't believe I would reccomend drilling anything to make it fit easier. That mount stud could "walk" around inside where you drilled wouldn't it?
