So, I just got this really nice '97 LeSabre Limited that came with a factory alarm. Yesterday this alarm started to act up...when I'd unlock the door with the key, and then pull it open, the alarm would sound, and nothing I did would turn it off. It didn't do this in the days prior to Sunday. I don't use the keyless fobs because the batteries are either dead, or something is wrong with them.

I haven't tried it today. My mom drove the car last night and reported no issue, which is strange. Maybe it'll just randomly act up. I dunno. Anyone got any ideas on why my alarm is going wonky?

The car does have one other issue...the tachometer seems to suffer from alzheimer's or something. It just randomly doesn't work...usually sits at zero when the car is idling. If you get on the gas hard, it'll move, but not in unison with the engine or anything. Sometimes the needle just bounces. Any ideas?

All help is appreciated! :) In addition to my Buick, I also have a Volvo 245DL station wagon, and a 1981 Datsun 210 station wagon. I like variety :)
A look at my Buick:
