I have a 95 Lesabre with 67,500 original miles on it. My check engine light intermittently comes on, and when I accelerate from a stop, my gas gage needle goes all the way past full but then slowly goes down. It died on me 2x todaywhile driving along in traffic.I have also had a problem with the engine racing when i put it into park. Come on guys..help a girl out.

Just an update...I took the car in today. It is the throttle position sensor. 230 bucks total. Sigh

AWWW geezzz, slam, jump up from seat, stomp around in a circle.
Well, I guess sometimes one has to pay..

THE GOOD NEWS IS.
Does sound like right diagnosis and you would have some difficulty getting the work done. Still scratching my head on the gas guage being tied to the TPS.

We hope its the end of story.. give us an update.
