2000 lesabre

Hey all. new to forum but I am familiar with them. I have a 2000 lesabre limited. I have noticed a pronounced clunk when tapping brakes. It deffinately is from the front as i feel it in steering wheel. I am thinking tie rods but someone said the cv joints could be bad as well. Has anyone had anything like this?. my drivers side tire had worn bald on the outside edge of tire to the point of it splitting. Can someone point me in the right direction. I am doing a rotor and brake replacement this weekend but would like to just do it all if I get info. Thanks

The condition where the tire has worn on the outside would not usually be caused by a tie rod end, but either a worn suspension part or a needed alignment.
The fact that you are getting the clunk would indicate a badly worn part like a ball joint.
A thorough check of the suspension is in order.
