1997 buick lesabre 3.8 ac compressor cost
 

I need a new air compressor for a 97 buick lesabre with 3.7 engine.
I went to my local repair shop to order a buick lesabre ac compressor including ac clutch,they quoted me $500.
It is ridiculous price for an ac compressor replacement,right ?
Where to get a cheap 1997 buick lesabre 3.8 ac compressor ? The cheapest one I find online is Hexauto ac compressor , $97.5 pre-oiled with free shipping!!!
Is it reliable to order buick accessories online ?

That is a pretty high amount for an A/C compressor replacement.
The part of the country in which you reside has a lot to do with the prices charged for parts and labor.
As far as the low ball price and the place you listed, have never dealt with them and therefore don't know what kind of quality you might be getting.
If you were to purchase the compressor alone it might have been cheaper and I would suspect the lower priced part does not come with a new clutch assy.
You did the right thing by shopping around and most reliable places don't mind when you check pricing as long as the lower prices provide the same services and quality parts. If you feel your vehicle is only a 97 and don't want to put a lot of $$$ into it , you might try the lower priced parts . Now the question is who has the equipment to do the job right and will they stand behind installing your cheaper part?
Cost always comes into the picture and sometimes you have to measure the cost against what kind of service you get and how long will it last?
