Hi all!! I have a 2007 Buick LaCrosse CXL, I bought it last January. Ever since I bought it the tires have been leaking air, I have to put air in them at least twice a week. We have been to 3 dealers to have this problem fixed. I have been told it is the tires changing pressure, But the tires actually lose air, we have to put in at least 10 to 15 lbs each time, on one or more of the four. Does anyone else have this problem?

fix

Hey there,

one of 2 things.

1. valve stem has a crack in it (hose down the rim rub a bit of soap around valve see if it bubbles.
2. corrosion on the rim inners due to moisture seeping in will not seal the tire to the rim. dismount tire electric steel sander on the inner rim remount and done.
Mine was both all fixed. I had the 2005 cxs chrome wheels

If they are Goodyear tires, that is normal for those defective tires. Goodyear tires are so poorly made and quality control inspected that the once high end tire company has become the lowest end tire company equaling Uniroyal at the bottom of the quality list. Losing air pressure is just the beginning of problems with those tires. Wait until you start having tread separation causing virbation and eventually tire failure.

There is something to what tposey7591 posted.
I have also noticed Goodyear quality has diminished over the years and ,personally, I choose not to purchase them anymore.

the likely issue is the aluminum itself. GM has been using garbage aluminum for over 10 years on their wheels. it seems to be a mixture of aluminum, cardboard and dried leaves. it just rots away where rubber meets the wheel. i have had to replace my wheels on my 04 ultra and 02 gs.

Check if the tire has sidewall cracks and has decent tread. If not then go to a tire store they will help you. This is not a major deal.

How many miles do these tires have on them? Might simply be time to buy some new ones. Did the dealer inspect each tire to make sure there are no cracks or holes?
