Key Fob
 

Okay, I'm a new old guy, signed up in 2012 when I bought my LaCrosse (new) 2.4 leather, hybrid, and lurked in the background for a few years. It is now about 4 computers later and 3 or 4 dozen passwords, probably. Never had any real problems, put up w/the harsh down-shift if coasting to a stop. I drive other things like my Gold Wing and Kawasaki Versys 1000 SE LT+, and a few other vehicles so the Buick only has about 77K on it!

The Key Fob has quit starting the car. The other day I went to the dealer and asked about it and they put their OBD analyzer on it and said it was showing a code! There is no check engine light showing and the bulb is not burned out. And they want $122 to inform me what the problem is!!

I'm 75 years old and spent 20 years and 18 days in the United States Army, it took a lot of will power to keep me from wishing them great sexual happiness. But I declined!

Does anyone know of a "magic" procedure to get the vehicle to reveal what's happening? O'Reilly Auto Parts said their reader would not pick-up the hidden codes.

Sure would appreciate some help if anyone knows something! And I live in Manhattan KS!

I had the same situation. I replaced the battery in the key fob and worked perfectly. Good luck.
