"Fix Passenger Airbag" Light will not turn off.
 

Hi! Thank you for making this forum available to me!

Several dash light warnings came on, including the air bag light. I took the vehicle to the body shop I always use--the guy does a great job,and his charges are reasonable. When we went to pick the vehicle up, all but, the airbag light were off. Mechanid said it would turn off after we had driven It 50 miles or so. But it did not do so. We took it back to him, I don't know what he did, but he didn't do anything expensive. He told us again to drive the car between 50 and 100 miles and the light would go off. Again the light did not turn off after driving the suggested distance. Mechanic told me even though the light is on, the air bag will still deploy. That doesn't sit well with me...It's been a lot of miles since then, and the light is still on.I checked the connections under the seat, and they are fine. I have not checked the passenger airbag fuse yet. I sure hope this isn't going to be a thousand dollar replacement sensor problem. Thanks

You didn't provide the year of vehicle so we don't know if it can provide codes to let you know what may be wrong.
